As was mentioned, you can hold down the 'ESC' key when turning on the machine to cold-boot into 1 MHz operations. To do it with a warm- boot press Apple-Control-Reset-Esc at the same time, then release all the keys except 'ESC'. If you did it correctly, the word "NORMAL" will appear at the top of the screen. It'll stay at 1.024 MHz until you do another warm-boot (that is just Apple-Control-Reset), performance the built-in self-test or power on and off. Personally I think they should have just removed the Dvorak "Keyboard" switch and replaced it with a "Turbo" switch--that would have made a lot more sense. Mitchell Spector spec@vax2.concordia.ca
