Dear John, There is a cable which allows Apple II 20-pin disk drives to be used on 19-pin ports such as the one on a IIc. I will describe the connections so you can make one yourself or have it made for you. But first there are some details of conventions to aid my description. There are two plugs, one at each end of the cable. One is a male 20-pin header. The other is a DB-19 male. This latter plug is hard to find. I make it from a DB-25 male plug from which the outer grounding lip has been peeled away. This leaves the 25 pins no longer recessed. Three pins from each end may be re- moved to leave the inner 19 pins which will fit into a DB-19 female socket. To speak about the individual pins, I will "draw" them below, as seen from "outside" the plug.
