However(!), Morgan Davis has developed a software package which lets you add modem control commands to BASIC. These commands include the ones you mention and many more. The package is named "Modem Works". Basically, Modem Works is a collection of fast-executing modules. You begin a program by loading in the modules with the commands needed to handle your particular application (like a BBS program). To load the Modem Works modules and 'hook them up' with standard BASIC, you need Morgan Davis's Object Module Manager. OMM also makes it easier to create custom BASIC command modules (for telecommunications or any other IIgs application). According to a 1994 ad, Modem Works sells for $89.95. OMM sells for $39.95. Each package comes with diskette and manual. The number listed for Morgan Davis is 619-670-0563.
