             Apple IIgs Users Celebrate Independence Day


Basel/Switzerland -- 7/4/97 -- F.E.Systems announced today the immediate
availability of the last beta release of its popular Apple IIgs software
emulation product: 'Bernie ][ The Rescue Warp 5'. Since it's introduction in
December 1996, Bernie has been known for its close integration into MacOS, raw
power and its intuitive user interface Macintosh evangelists are longing for.
And Warp 5 is not going to change this.

By repeatedly updating its emulation product, F.E.Systems has gradually turned
a solid tool into a full-fledged application that incorporates state-of-the-art
emulation technologies such as an emulation kernel written PowerPC assembly
language, 'zero memory footprint caching' and cross-platform printing with
InkMeister.

Warp 5 bridges technical differences by adding text printing support through
Macintosh printer drivers with 'InkMeister' and cached low-level 3.5" disk
support. SpeedNanny allows users to fine tune emulated speed in 0.2Mhz steps,
and the 32-channel stereo sound driver takes care of sound reproduction. The
video driver is running at any color depth and interfaces with the
DrawSprockets, a system extension from Apple Computer Inc. Nevertheless, Warp 5
remains the most user-friendly Apple IIgs emulator and now sports extensive
documentation in HTML format for off- and on-line reading. Menu help and info
messages helps new users getting acquainted with Bernie very quickly.

Warp 5 is shareware and can be registered through Kagi Shareware for $25 per
