I knew the patch was simple, but forgot exactly how simple.  It changes
things so that CM2100 will accept whatever you choose to type when it asks
for that mundane info. out of the manual.  I usually just hit space-RETURN.

I'm posting a BASIC program on cba2 which will do the patch automatically.
If you feel like doing it by hand, here's how to do it:

Just change the branch instruction at offset $8ED7 in the CM2100 file (in
/CMASTER/CHESSMASTER) as follows:

Original: D0 08
Patched:  EA EA

Easy, huh?  For those of you without the technical experience or programs
to do this, use the program CM2100.Fix.

Don't get chess-board! :)
