Just wanted to let everyone know that I got my LineLink 14.4 modems a couple of days ago and they are working wonderfully. I am using a GS with Proterm 3.0 and the SupraFax modem (RTS/CTS) driver. The only thing I have to do is change the init string to at N4 to it and it now logs in at Lapm v42.bis instead of mnp5. 99.00 was well worth it for each of these modems. I had less problems getting these up and running than my DallasFax 14.4 and I paid 215.00 for it last year. Oh, the cable I am using is the Mac to 9600 baud modem cable by QVS. Got it at my University computer store at way to high a price, but I was in a hurry. I am also getting about 1584 cps across on binsciied binaries!! This is about normal since my Dallas fax does only slightly better at 1586cps Way to go MacWorld, Sorry but this was just a good deal and thought everyone with a GS or II that could handle the 14.4 speed should know about it. Like I said works great with my IIGS at 14.4 and well also on my IIe with a SSC. Petar Puskarich ppuskari@magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu
