On the Mac, I tend to use a program called Monica to do my downloads...it's a lot easier to deal with than Netscape is for downloading. Monica always does an 8-bit connection for downloading and I can build up a whole list of stuff I want to download while browsing and when I finish browsing I can set Monica to go and download all the files I selected. Monica does work with either a 68K or PowerMac (you have to look a little for the 68K version). It can be found at: I have downloaded many megabytes worth of stuff with Monica including almost 100MB in one night before my ISP cut me off after 8 hours. None of it corrupted, including all the Apple II stuff I downloaded.
