Exactly the problem. Just look at the latest drivel from Nathan Mates in the whole Tangled Tales question (quite an icconent question, really). Dr. Tom makes his article, and Nathan immediately posts accusing him of piracy, drug addiction, attention deficiency syndrome (whatever the hell that is), etc. Zealots like that should just be killfiled. The only reason I haven't done so already, is that his posting are so damn funny. It's incredible to believe that he actually thinks like that... if I hadn't already witnessed the Critical Bill threads on comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.adventure, and having read this group for several years now, I'd suspect Nathan of being a professional agitater. It is hard to believe that someone could be so against... eg. piracy, Macs, etc. but not stop to consider that public defamation is just as bad. He must use a convoluted set of double standards. Not surprising really. That's why I think that it's getting to the stage where we need a moderating control. There aren't that many posts that it wouldn't be possible to do manual moderation, and have an automatic rejection system to reject posts that contain certain constructs [such as swear words, derogatory words, etc.] We could purpose that comp.sys.apple2 be retro-moderated [such as that which happened recently with comp.lang.asm.x86 recently]. -- Paul Gilbert | pfg@yallara.cs.rmit.edu.au Bach App Sci, Bach Eng | The opinions expressed are my own, all my own, and Year 4, RMIT Melbourne | as such will contain no references to small furry Australia | creatures from Alpha Centauri.
