I would like options like >stereo, microphone input, software controllable output... I've had a good time with my AE Sonic Blaster. Has the above: stereo output, stereo mike input, volume control on the card [which can be a pain unless you have volume control on your speakers :)], a pretty good sound editor program, software support from most 16-bit programs that make sound and a third-party CDEV is available for those that don't, and the sound quality suits my great-but-not-absolutely-perfect needs. Five collections of resource sounds I have recorded with my Sonic Blaster are available on the FTP's under the name Zounds#.shk. :) Most of the 16-bit sound editor programs not made by a card manufacturer support the SB so you never have to stray far for help. I'll admit that I have not tried any other sound cards so I offer no comparisons. | told you enough times already. Stop asking to be spoonfed info you | can find easily should you open your eyes and use your brain. Nathan, was this nice or helpful? "There is a FAQ dealing with sound cards in the same place you've found the rest of my FAQs" is enough. << mushroom >> * 2qwk! 2.04 * The face of a child says it all, especially the mouth part. -- -- yet another annoying post by brian.hammack@rook.wa.com -- deal with it.
