AFC DYAJim 'cuz it's harder to play with...harder to produce a wider variety
           of volumes too I can play like the first three movements of it so
           far..I'm working on finishing it up pretty soon

AFL JoyceM I noticed a GREAT difference between my Yamaha and the Roland
           D-5.

AFA Gene   What kind of keyboard do you use, Jim? I think you told me before
           but I forgot :)

ELECTMUSIC Jim, do you have any idea which movements you will do?

AFC DYAJim Let me go get the music and look :)   Yah, D-70.

AFL JoyceM Is that 'older' than the D-5?

AFC Eddie  No, newer, Joyce.

AFA Gene   Oh yeah, <duh> ... D-70... it has nice sensitivity for a keyboard
           of its type.

           duplicators right now.

           can put the instrument disk in the DC library.

AFL JoyceM How can we (me) purchase the tape - I would really like to hear
           it.

AFA Gene   We're gonna sell it locally for 2 bucks apiece. Just around the
           high schools and stuff.

AFL JoyceM That will be great, Jim....really look forward to that.

AFC Eddie  Yup! Should be getting together in the next few weeks.
           Although we did mostly 60's tunes.  We might be expanding that a
           bit.

AFC Eddie  Probably anything except current chart material!

AFA Gene   I especially remember "you really got me" cuz Van Halen did it
           too. A lot of kids my age would actually recognize that song. :)

AFL JoyceM 50's songs I remember, I graduated from HS in 1954....

AFC Eddie  I think all rock fans should get educated on their local oldies
           stations. At least for a while.  The "roots" of rock.

AFC Eddie  He had a comeback in the 60's too.

AFL JoyceM I think I might have some from some Mac disks...I will take a
           look.  Remind me, Greg....I have a bio on him too...actually
           several.

ELECTMUSIC I think he would make a great stack using Mike's Xcmnd could make
           an interesting MusicEd stack.

AFA Gene   Interesting question, Ed.

AFC Eddie  I know a lot of great women musicians.

AFC Brite  women had to work too hard around the house, no time for music
           lessons

AFL JoyceM I think that Chopin's wife was good....but it was not the woman's
           place to be composers. :(

Nuzz       Good Question Joyce.   Its still SoundConvert but I'm open for
           suggestions

AFA Gene   Even in the 20th century tho, there haven't been any famous women
           composers.

AFC Eddie  But there were great women poets.

AFL JoyceM Oh, there was a good woman conductor - here in Denver...can't
           remember her name, tho. And I don't believe she was American born.

AFC Eddie  Maybe some famous men composers were just false fronts for great
           women!

AFL JoyceM To me, the current and past Rock songs (for a better term) are
           just a lot of noise!  Personal opinion - not that of AMS or AOL :)

AFC Brite  I just happen to love barbershop harmony

AFA Gene   I must disagree, Ed. What you've probably heard is from Appetite
           for Destruction or Lies. UYI is very different. I agree that the
           people in GNR (actually, Axl Rose in particular) are pretty
           controversial (hey, Slash's mom is black) but musically they are
           capable of being very creative.

AFL JoyceM Agree, Brite...I have a whole music book filled with barbershop
           songs.

AFC Eddie  There was a time when rock music used to advocate freedom,
           brotherhood, and harmony.  Now we have bigots like G'n'R.

IRSMan     Well, not much, as college is ruining my schedule, BUT AZ v1.2s
           (not to be confused with the one on another network) will be out
           tomorrow.

IRSMan     SSZap is continuing (found some problems with my new ROM 03). Of
           course.  My new stuff ALWAYS appears first in AMS.

IRSMan     Well, basically it has a 6 track wide edit display (handier), a
           better Graphics player with working buttons and FF, REW, and PAUSE
           controls, and hopefully MIDI input.

IRSMan     I got better ones than the ones you have, but what can I say?
           Actually some people have been doing MIDI with SS 0.95.  Not sure
           how.

           screen).

IRSMan     They said, and I quote, "I'm doing MIDI with SS 0.95, but it loses
           notes a lot of the time."

ELECTMUSIC I was wondering how Apple could put together this guide without
           consulting some of us.

AFC DYAJim only thing I can think of is that the midi code is in 0.95 --
           one must just enable the menu item..In fact, I'm gonna have to
           try that and see what happens ;)

IRSMan     Automatic or Interactive pbend modes (IActive uses joystick, so
           you can have interactive songs!)

AFC DYAJim it doesn't always work so well with AO for some reason though..

           testing will be fun! :-)  But I promise to do everything I can to
           get it to work.

AFC Eddie  The only advantage to ROM 3 is the cleaner sound.

AFL JoyceM I thought they weren't supposed to upgrade the WOZ to 03 - it was
           Apple's policy.

AFC DYAJim Cleaner sound + a bunch of other things

IRSMan     It's not that cleaner.  In fact, thru my SB its noisier.

ELECTMUSIC I like my Rom1 also :)

AFC DYAJim I wouldn't mind a rom 3 for a month :)

AFC DYAJim Cleaner sound, Faster smartport, Trace and Step from the monitor,
           more tools in ROM.  I have a whole list :)

IRSMan     Plus, my GS RAM has stopped working.  Blech. (need a ROM 03 compat
           chip).

IRSMan     More BUGS in ROM.   Booting anything after Delta Demo dies. And of
           course the window manager stuff...
