The latest version is v1.09.b5 (newer than v1.09.04).  If you use an
older version, you may run into trouble connecting at speeds faster than
9600.

You can get metal/fv software from the following 3 ftp sites:

galadriel.ecaetc.ohio-state.edu
tfsp.saic.com
ftp.stolaf.edu
