Basically, you mail your message to comp-sys-apple2@ucbvax.berkeley.edu For Binscii files, download the file to your unix account, then type this: mail comp-binaries-apple2@ucbvax.berkeley.edu < filename This is much more accurate than trying to ASCII send the file to the screen (like I was trying to do). You may have noticed that there was no way to include a SUBJECT LINE for your file postings. Well, here's what to do: (1) To post messages to comp.sys.apple2: From your unix prompt (probably a %), just type: mail comp-sys-apple2@ucbvax.berkeley.edu It should then prompt you for a Subject header. Go ahead and enter your subject, and then press return. It should then put you into a mail editor. to finish your letter, type a CTRL-D or whatever your unix expects. (2) To post a Binscii file to comp.binaries.apple2: From your unix prompt (probably a %), just type: mail -s "subject matter" comp-binaries-apple2@ucbvax.berkeley.edu < filename This will automatically put your subject heading into the correct place when it posts your Binscii file. Don't worry if you type over the line (like above), it should still realize what you want to do. Hope that helps some of you. _ _ (_) Responses welcomed by grover@emunix.emich.edu (_)
