I didn't attend KFest this year but I did try to keep up on all the news in chat on Delphi. Here is what I can remember being announced off the top of my head: Marinetti v2.0 - Richard Bennett - TCP/IP which now supports both SLIP and PPP Spectrum v2.2 - Seven Hills - update with integrated support for Marinetti; can have up to 32 open sockets and control them from scripts GSoft BASIC v1.0 - ByteWorks - an interpreted modern structured BASIC with more commands than Applesoft and can generate stand alone GS/OS programs NiftySpell v1.0 - Shareware Solutions II - a spell checker NDA that can check spelling in any program that uses TextEdit controls such as ShadowWrite (Hermes), Teach, Spectrum, et al; you can use either a US or UK dictionary and it supports multiple custom dictionaries Babelfish - Seven Hills - file conversion program that translators can be written by anyone to change the contents of files; it includes lots of translators including one that can convert text or Teach documents into HTML WebWorksGS - Sheppyware - an HTML editor that can also convert AppleWorks files into HTML and keep the formatting from the AppleWorks document There was also the announcement that Kansas Fest now has its own domain name on the web. You can now get KFest information from: http://www.kfest.org Richard Bennett apparently was talking about or demoing, I'm not sure which, a program called Casper which is a web page server for the IIgs. That's all I can think of right now. Hopefully that satisfies your curiousity. :) === I've had enough SPAM. Cut the obvious from my address to email me. === Jeff Blakeney - Dean of the Apple II University on Delphi
