I'm still plugging away at my application and it is getting closer to
release all the time.  However, because I've taken so long to get this
done, I know there is at least two other people working on e-mail
clients.  One is an application or NDA and the other is a set of
scripts for Spectrum.

As to a news reader, well my original plan has always been to write a
suite of internet applications so it is on my to do list.  I just hope
I can write it faster than I did e-mail.  :-)

Writing them as NDAs makes them accessible while using other
applications but there is no reason why internet applications can't be
stand alone applications too.  I still plan to release my e-mail
client as both an NDA and an application so that you have the choice
of which to use depending on your personal preference or the dictates
of your hardware (ie. boot drive space and amout of system memory).

NDAs afford us a kind of multitasking under GS/OS which I think should
be sufficient for most people.  If not, there is always the Manager
and SwitchIt but I'm not sure how well those would work with a TCP/IP
connection.
