Number One

As the buying public, we purchase software and hardware which has very little if
any testing done. Our purchases serves two purposes. We beta test products for
companies as well as fund new projects which make our current systems obsolete.
Thus the cycle continues. -- Phoenyx

The fact that I tend to moderate my own such outbursts, should indicate that I'm
aware it's a tempest in a teacup and the fact that you cannot ascertain this on
your own; or that you apparently are incapable of keeping a molehill a molehill
- instead of over reacting yourself and adding to the possibility the molehill
might turn into a mountain; is your problem, not mine. -- tturner 


Number Three

Have done several Win95 re-installs (none, happily, in the last year or so). It
is definitely a chore. GS System is much easier to deal with. -- Rubywand


Number Four

IIGS serial port is RS-422, just like the Mac.  It uses the same serial chip
used in IIGS era Macs.  That's why it can do modem serial up to 57.6k and
AppleTalk serial at 230k, just like Macs. -- Supertimer

Another vote of confidence for Stephen. Yes, contact with him is sporadic at
best, but he is a committed member of our community.  Like everyone else, I've
been treated well by Stephen.  He just suffers from the same ailment as the rest
of us:  he only has 24 hours in his day. -- Jay

The web is the best
thing to ever happen to the Apple II, where every one has a voice, the means,
and the right to display their talent and wares on their own terms,  in the way

As I've often been advised and have found to be - so true: Never look a gift
