     There are some disk images (.gz compressed) on Asimov which seem to work
okay. They are in the earth_orbit_stations/ folder in the strategy area at 
ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/images/games/strategy/ .

     The catch is that there are some bad files in the same folder. Here is a
listing showing the good and bad files:

  eos.asm                     526 bytes
  eos_archive.nib.gz           25 Kb
 <eos_archive_alt.nib.gz       16 Kb    ---BAD>
 <eos_game_1.nib.gz           200 bytes ---BAD>
  eos_game_2.nib.gz            50 Kb
 <eos_game__alt.dsk.gz          0 Kb    ---BAD>
  eos_mission.nib.gz           57 Kb   



     The files you want and the correct names after unZipping are ...

  eos_game_2.nib.gz            50 Kb  --> eos_game.nib  (GAME disk, boot)
  eos_archive.nib.gz           25 Kb  --> eos_arch.nib  (ARCHIVE disk)
  eos_mission.nib.gz           57 Kb  --> eos_miss.nib  (MISSION disk)


     You can use WinZIP to unZIP the files. When you do, you may find that the
resulting images are missing the filetype suffix (like "eos_arch"). Rename each
of the new files to end with ".nib" as shown above.

Note: A .nib file is a disk image created by Saltine's Super Transcopy. SST
uses Copy II+ routines to attempt to create images of diskettes which have not
been deprotected. If SST succeeds, you get a .nib file which works with
emulators like AppleWin. The standard size for a .nib file is 232,960 bytes.
