It runs on HPUX workstations, x86 Linux, Linux on PowerPC, Solaris and OS/2. All source code is always available on the web site, and now Linux RPM files are also available. Note that an Apple //gs can run virtually every Apple //e and Apple ][ program, and KEGS can, too. Many people used their //gs'es as fast Apple //e's, and you can use your //gs emulator as a fast //e, too. KEGS' default web site, http://www.crosswinds.net/san-jose/~kentd/kegs/, is acting flaky, so a second, backup web site is available at: http://www.psn.net/~kentd/kegs/. Since the last post to this message board was for v0.41, many improvements have been made in KEGS. I feel justified in saying KEGS is the most accurate Apple //gs emulator for any platform, with the best compatibility. Notable changes in KEGS v0.56 since v0.41: - Numerous small compatibility bug fixes - Several speed fixes, should speed programs up 10-15% (maybe more) - Support for 5.25" .nib image format - Linux joystick support added by Jonathan Stark - Linux RPM binaries provided by Jonathan Stark - Auto senses screen display depth - New programs which work: Diversi-Tune, NFC Megademo, Out Of This World, Pirates GS, Bard's Tale II GS, Zip GS progs, and Pirates GS.
