Subject: GSWV OCT.99 Issue - No contest winner. Why? -> No entry :( Path: lobby!newstf02.news.aol.com!audrey04.news.aol.com!not-for-mail From: macprober@aol.com (Macprober) Newsgroups: comp.sys.apple2 Lines: 46 NNTP-Posting-Host: ladder05.news.aol.com X-Admin: news@aol.com Date: 08 Nov 1999 18:46:19 GMT Organization: AOL http://www.aol.com Message-ID: <19991108134619.11070.00001789@ng-fi1.aol.com> Well, the subject sort of says it all. GSWV OCT.99 Issue - No contest winner, no entry :( I put a folder in the OCT.99 issue of Gs WorldView, with a very simple and easy to win contest with a really nice prize to award to the winner. Not one single reply or contest entry did I receive. I was really astounded not receiving one single contest entry on this :( It's too bad also, as the contest expired on 10/31/99 without an entry or a winner. With such a ZERO response on such an easy contest, I've decided not to bother with any more such contests in any new GS WorldView issues. With no entries, what's the logic of having such contest? The prize (for the OCT.99 Issue, which has now expired - without any entry or winner) WAS an Apple II TranswWarp card for the Apple IIe. I've turned that contest prize over to a relative to auction off on eBay.com. I'll be donating the proceeds from that items auction to Dr. Tom's FAV non-profit charity FAFUBA. Ref. http://www.grin.net/~cturley/FAFUBA/ As such, at least some good will come of the effort. Just thought I'd let everybody know of my dissapointment on having no entry reply for that (now expired) contest from the GS WorldView Oct.99 issue. Oh well, I guess that's the way it goes these days in the A2 community, when you try to offer something COOL like this and get no responses to your contest. Perhaps you might like to check out the contents of the Nov99 issue ANYWAY. You never know what might show up in it, unless you check it out each day. http://www.grin.net/~cturley/gsezine/GS.WorldView/Nov99/ New additions are added EACH day to the ONLY online "Apple II and IIgs Monthly Linear Ezine" -- GS WorldView.
