Yes it does.  For the Amiga 1000 legacy modes at least.

The Amiga scan doublers simply take each scan line output
by the Amiga, buffer it, and display it twice, thus displaying
the 15kHz signal on a 30kHz VGA monitor.  There are both
external and internal Amiga scan doublers.  The external
ones should work with the IIGS.  Most are internal cards,
though, which won't work on the IIGS.

If it is a box that sits between the computer and the
monitor, it'll work on the IIGS.  Of course you would need
to build an adapter cable.
