AppleWin is a good enhanced //e emulator. You can download AppleWin from Asimov ( ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/ ). There are a couple IIgs emulators that will run on a PC. (However, these will not let you read standard Apple II 3.5" diskettes on your PC.) For links to emulator info sites, see http://home.swbell.net/rubywand/Csa2APPLICS.html#emu . > I dont want to clutter my desk with an additional computer, a emulator woud > do nicely. My system is a (I am not a Microsoft fan) Windows 98 SE, on a > PIII 450 MHZ, 128 meg system. Using disk images (virtual disks), you can access quite a lot of Apple II software via an emulator running on such a PC. > > Now u guys made me into a sentimental fool ! > I should just trash my IIc and concentrate on learning UNIX. Except that your //c will still be useful for running Apple II software in 2010. UNIX may be long-gone. (In which case you can be sentimental about good old UNIX!) Rubywand
