There was a port of Lynx done for the Mac 68k machines some time ago. I'll see about getting it with the src. code and sending it on to you - to work with. Fast display of GIF, JPEG and PNG in greyscale would be very doable with it - I'd think! All the src. codes for such are freely available and have even been implimented to work already on the IIgs.
