I use them on my three office IIe's and they do the following for me: 1. Allow use of both a parallel & serial printer. 2. Provide up to a combined 64kb printer buffer for both printers simultaneously. 3. Have a clock chip which was already Y2k ready since 1993!!! 4. Allow use of a modem. 5. Allow, but I don't use it, speech commands and speech recognition. Yes, AppleWorks will talk to you! This card saves soooooo many slots for other purposes.
