Although the ProType docs do not seem to ever say, flat out, that ProType expects to work with files on a ProDOS disk, I'm pretty sure it would be a requirement. That would account for two of the failures. Method 1 would fail because the file is saved as forked by Mac on a ProDOS disk and not processed by ProType. Method 4 seems to get the file onto a ProDOS disk where using ProType fixes it. An easier method may be to download files to PC and transfer files via Hyperterm to the II+ or //c running Modem MGR. If you prefer to work with diskettes, you should be able to save files to 800k 3.5" ProDOS diskettes on the Mac and unfork them using Ivan Drucker's UnforkIt. You can find UnforkIt with docs on the Ground, USA2WUG, and TFFE archives: ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/upl2000/Jun/ http://www.grin.net/~cturley/USA2WUG/Utilities/ ftp://apple2.tffenterprises.com/pub/apple2/utils/ Rubywand
