I have all of the hardware to do so, : but what kind of software do I need (for a Mac, there is a "network : boot disk", os there such a beast for the IIgs)? Yes, you can boot the IIgs over LocalTalk, but you will require AppleShare FileServer version 2 or 3. Just be warned, it is a very slow and not very practical (unless you do not have a 3.5" drive or hard drive). The personal file sharing, which comes with System 7 and later, will allow you to access a Macintosh hard drive -- but without booting remotely. IMHO - this is a very efficent way to exchange files between your IIgs and your Mac. Byron.
