I stopped working on Eamon years ago because there didn't seem to be much interest in Eamon on the PC and I didn't have time to advertise as I would need to. Eamon seemed like such a trivial game on the PC because the m} {a}{chine could do so much more. With the introduction and conversion of the world to Windows and then Windows 95 and now maybe even Windows NT, it has been growing so rapidly that DOS is being left far behind. \par \par But Eamon still has its charm and I have recently received inquiries on the availability of Eamon for the PC. I still love Eamon and would like to see it flourish on the PC, but I didn't know there would be an interest, so I'm asking everyone to help me out and spread the word for me a little. But here's the catch: somebody has to }{\b want}{ this stuff. I don't want to devote all my spare time converting adventures or writing new adventures for the PC unless there is somebody out there that is going to play them! \par \par If anybody wants these adventures, here's what they'll get: \par \par The adventures come with source code (and can be run as such using QBASIC that comes with DOS 5.0 and above.) If you have Microsoft's QuickBASIC or BASIC PDS 7.0 you can run or compile your own programs. If you don't have the compilers, you may either use the QBASIC that comes with DOS, or run the executable files that have already been compiled by me (or someone who does have a compiler.) M}{i}{ crosoft has discontinued QuickBASIC and BASIC PDS 7.0 compilers, but you can sometimes pick up a used copy of these. \par \par Anyway, the adventures will run on almost any PC. (I haven't found ANY exceptions yet, but then I'm not looking very hard either!)
