GLã‹° Ï®4â PROMOZZSTAT Statistics Program Version 1.4 ====================================== Introduction ============ Hi! This is a short promo for ZSTAT, a statistics program for the Apple IIgs, //c and 128K //e. This file contains no docs nor program files, but will tell you about ZSTAT, so you can see if you want the program. First off, I have to tell you that ZSTAT is a shareware program and not released into the public domain. You can download and use it as you wish, and copy it for your friends. I ask that if you use it, you send $10 to: Steven R. White 411 N. Kensington Ave. LaGrange Park, IL 60525 This will make you a registered user and entitle you to a 40-page manual with complete specs on ZSTAT. Also note that there are several of Glen Bredon's ProCMD modules used in this program. These are copyright by Glen and are to be used ONLY in the context of running ZSTAT. The use of any of the ProCMD files outside is a violation of his copyright. If you want to use them, I strongly urge you to BUY the complete package from Glen--it is superb. Users of earlier versions of ZSTAT should note the following: version 1.4 is primarily a bug-fix. No new features have been added over version 1.3.1. You should download and use version 1.4. What does it do? ================ ZSTAT calculates statistics. It allows you to enter data in a flexible, spreadsheet-like environment. It provides help when you need it, and will allow you to import data from other programs. It calculates the following statsitics: Mean Standard deviation Standard error of the mean T-test T-test (paired) Mann-Whitney rank-sum test Wilcoxon signed-rank test F-test Repeated F-test Kruskal-Wallis statistic Friedman statistic Linear regression Pearson coefficient Spearman rank coefficient Chi-Square statistic McNemar's analysis Cofidence level of the difference of means In addition, it will let you correct your statistics for multiple comparisons (the Bonferroni method) and for tailed analysis (single or double). ZSTAT lets you print the data and the results of your calculations on your printer, and lets you store data for future sessions. There are a number of spreadsheet-like commands for formatting, copying and sorting data; and for loading and saving files. You can import and export data in the DIF format. ZSTAT works with any 128K Apple //e, //c or IIgs running ProDos 1.1.1 or higher. It is written in BASIC and uses the ramdisk for quicker execution. It will work with a variety of printers and program selectors. To download ZSTAT, you should download these files: ZST4A.BNY ZST4B.BNY Both are in BinaryII format. The docs are included in the download. If you prefer you can send me the registration fee and I will mail you a disk and the manual. If you have specialized needs concerning statistics let me know: I can write a customized module for ZSTAT. There you have it. If you have any questions or problems with the program let me know! steve white 72726,1332 P.S. ZSTAT-GS should be available by October 1, 1988.
